    DESCRIPTION:  Vintage  hand carved mechanical corker--hand painted--of a man with spectacles reading a book---made in Italy--possibly by Anri?
    The head is some molded plastic or composition and the hat is wood and attached. The body is wood.
    CONDITION:  Very good condition. The mechanical action works good. There is some wear to the paint on the hat and the tip of his stationery hand is chipped--holding book. ITALY is marked on the bottom of cork.
