Up for auction is the one of the Holy Grails of 80s Skateboards. The vintage Powell Peralta “Police Academy 4” screen used movie skateboard ridden and authenticated by Mike McGill. This was a personal rider and the actual board he rode in the 1987 movie “Police Academy 4-Citizens on Patrol”, during the skateboard scenes. This board needs to be in a museum. Due to the interest in this board from fellow collectors that would love to have this in their collection, I have decided to put it up for auction to be fair and give everyone a chance to bid and own this piece of history. I acquired this board from a fellow collector years back. The story is that Mike McGill gave the board to a coworker on the set of the movie who eventually gave it to a family member who then sold it to the collector I purchased it from. I contacted Mike via email to confirm it’s history and he responded and wanted to see the board to confirm its authenticity. I sent pics to his shop in California with the COA. They contacted me from the shop and few days later and said Mike confirmed that this was his actual board and that it was used in the movie and that he would sign the COA. And here it is. This one was a hard one to let go but need the funds now. This is a must for any serious vintage 80s skateboard collector that wants to own a piece of history. Their is only one and this is it!
