Ultra Rare WW2 Russian Soviet 1938 Tokarev Rifle Bayonet & Scabbard

Offered is a 100% original Soviet Russian bayonet, together with its original scabbard, made for use with the 1938 Takarev self-loading rifle. This is the exceptionally rare, long bladed, first model bayonet. It's overall length exceeds 19" and its blade measures just over 14 inches. The blade is serialized on one side (together with a proof mark) and is proof marked on the other. It is correctly in the white after the small blue strip by the guard. It blade is arrow-straight, retains its factory edge, having never been sharpened or modified, and has no nicks. The original wood grips remain in superb, as pictured condition and each grip retains its crisp original proof mark. The lock/release mechanism functions as it should. The scabbard has its original finish and is free of dents or pitting. The leather hanger is completely intact and the rivets remain strong and without defect. This is the only 1938 Tokarev bayonet that I have had the privilege to own and is only one of two that I have personally encountered. It is difficult enough to find one for sale and this one would be exceedingly difficult to upgrade in condition.
