Description
For sale is a Synology DS411 4-Bay All-in-One NAS Server Diskless System DiskStation. I confirmed basic functionality, though I haven't personally used this unit for an extended period of time (I got a DS214play that suited my needs better), so I haven't tried out all of the functionality. I have tested the two USB ports, but not the eSATA port. After confirming basic functionality, I factory reset the unit and installed the latest version of DSM from the Synology website (though I'm not sure it's the latest patch update of this version; you may need to do an update in the DSM UI after setting up the unit), so it is ready for you to set up.Included are:
the DS411 unit, in OK cosmetic condition (it has some scratches; the drive bay cover screws are not original to the unit)
an aftermarket power brick
four drive caddies, with 4x sets of 3.5" screws and 3x sets of, I think, 2.5" screws; most of the 3.5" screws are in use in with included drives)
three drives (1TB, 750GB and 500GB in bays 1,2,3; I had one of the drives in bay 4 at first, and it worked fine). I don't know the full history of the drives, so I'm not sure how much life they have left.
The "action" screenshots are from before I factory reset the unit. With the drives installed, it had 1.11TB available in the current RAID setup, which I believe is SHR-1, though it may be slightly different after the DSM factory reset and any updates.
Note that I have not had this device or the drives for a long period of time, so I cannot make any strong claims about their usage history.
