Synology DS1621+ 6 Bay NAS DiskStation with 6X10TB WD drives. 60 TB JBOD or Raid 0 storage capacity. About 50 TB available with SHR. Used 1 year as an excellent Plex server. The drives are WD white drives shucked from WD Elements external units . Pictures show age and condition. Very recent manufacture and work perfectly in SHR. Comes with 8GB system ram installed. I have installed up to 64 GB of VColor ECC ram in similar machines and it works seamlessly. Other brands work as well.
The 1621+ has 2 nvme cache drive slots. No nvme installed. I have several Synology units and have found that any nvme drive I have tried works fine even if not approved by Synology.
There is a Mellanox 10Gb NIC installed. Recognized immediately by the system and works flawlessly. It is an SFP+ card and works with optical or RJ45 transceivers or DAC cables. inexpensive optical transceivers from 6COM or 10GTEK work seamlessly. I just used a 10GTEK DAC cable and it worked perfectly and will be included.
This machine works as new. I'm only selling it because I have several rack mount units and decided to use one of those as a Plex server instead of this stand alone unit. Because I have no control over what happens to it when a buyer takes possesion it is sold AS IS no returns.
