Superb Ultra Rare WW2 Russian Soviet AVS-36 Rifle Bayonet & Scabbard

Description

Offered is a 100% original Soviet Russian bayonet, together with its original scabbard, made for use with the AVS-36 self-loading rifle. It's overall length is approximately 18.5 inches and its blade measures approximately 13 inches. The blade is serialized on one side and is proof marked on the other. It is correctly in the white after the black strip by the guard. It blade is arrow-straight, retains its factory edge, having never been sharpened or modified, and has no nicks. The blade is in near mint condition. The original wood grips remain in original, un-altered condition with one minor defect on the left grip, as pictured. The scabbard has its original finish and is free of dents or pitting. The leather hanger is completely intact, remains supple, shows only normal wear, and the rivets remain strong and without defect. This is the only AVS-36 bayonet that I have had the privilege to own. These bayonets are exceedingly rare to find in any condition, let alone as nice as this one.
