Soviet Medal for Valor (aka Bravery Medal), Type 1 on rectangular suspension, high quality REPRODUCTION.
The medal is made in base medal with attractive silver tone and "cold" enamel in the letters. The medallion is 37 mm wide. The details of the obverse are exceptionally well done and "life-like". The reverse has an individually stamped serial number 68509 closely imitating the style of original serial numbers. The suspension is of correct proportions (approx. 31.5 wide) and construction, complete with the back plate, hexagon nut and "mint marked" screw plate. The medal even has a few small dings on the reverse on the edge and a few light scratches creating a full illusion of “genuine” age and wear.
Of course, it differs from the original medal in many small details, but high-quality fakes are sometimes sold as originals to unsuspecting beginner collectors.
