Here we have a stunning photo of Oscar Hammerstein I, (the first), chatting with Italian condutor, Cleofonte Campanini. Hammerstein was a businessman, theater impresario and composer in New York City, and the grandfather of the well known lyricist of the same name. The original image dated to circa 1908.
