    Description

Authentic WW2 era covers for PU sniper scopes. Originally designed for Tokarev SVT-40 PU sniper rifles, but also could be used with Mosin-Nagant sniper rifles. In very good condition considering their age and guaranteed original WW2.
The covers are used to protect the scope from dust and water when not in use. To protect the scope even more, lens caps should be put on. The covers can be used both ways, i.e. with or without the caps. The covers were designed in such a way that soldiers did not have to take the cover off in order to start shooting. The covers are made of heavy canvas and are closed with a leather strap and metal buckle. The front left side of the cover has a stitched-on pocket, which is used for lens dusters. Please refer to the pics for more details.
This early type of the PU sniper scope covers is very rare. The design is based on the PE sniper scope covers which had a side pocket and leather circles on both sides. With the beginning of the Eastern Campaign (WW2), the design was simplified, i.e. the external pocket and leather sides had been removed.
This offer is for one PU cover and a cloth. Please note cover color may vary slightly from the picture shown.
