Original Photo Archive Serge Lifar Ballet Collection Signed Portrait 60+ Photos

Description

Original photo archive collection from the estate of a Russian woman whose father was a photographer during the 1920-50's.   Includes 67 photographs of Serge Lifar (one is a portrait by Lipnitzi Paris which is signed by Serge Lifar).  Several photographs which feature Lifar with Picasso, Marlene Dietrich, Sergi Rachmaninoff, Sergei Diaghilev, Jean Cocteau and more.  Some are press photographs of the era, several are stamped "Emile Marcovitch" who was a well known Russian photographer of the era who was
in exile in Paris in the
1930s (well known photographer of European Kings and Queens)
, two are small personal snapshots and many are unmarked.  One portrait photograph is stamped by Emile Marcovitch and is signed on front by Serge Lifar (signature is faint, as shown in photo).   Also, I believe a few of the photographs are during the WWII Germany occupation of Paris.  Also include three photo postcards.
