JONES & LAMSON BXE OR FDT RETROFIT FOR J&L FC-14, FC-30, PC-14A, TC-10, TC-14

The second picture was taken by a customer that installed our parts on his PC-14A comparator.
This THLC-24-350-3R-BXE is one of our newer retrofits designed for Jones & Lamson FC-14, FC-30, TC-10, TC-14, PC-14A comparators currently using a BXE bulb, J&L P/N 31966 or the later FDT bulb.
The cover plate, squirrel fan, exhaust grill, cord & plug, BXE lamp, lamp socket, lamp socket base, screws and springs are removed and discarded.  Our parts are installed using supplied screws into existing threaded holes.  The only fabrication required is the hole at the base of the lamphouse that the wire went through must be opened up to accept the strain relief and new larger wire.
The NEMA 35R box may be mounted on your comparator or placed on a shelf.
All fifteen retrofit models we build come with a five year warranty and free lamps for life.
As a comparison the old
BXE lamp is a 10V, 7.5A (75 watt),100 Hr life, 1700 Lumens.
Our retrofit uses an EHJ/5 lamp,  24Volt-250 Watt, 500 Hr Life, 9000 Lumens.  Ours is 530% brighter with 500% greater lamp life (plus free lamps for life).
The BXE darkens with use and the EHJ/5 does not.
If your comparator is using an FDT bulb this retrofit is up to 586% Brighter
depending on the input voltage
and our bulbs last up to 10 times longer.
A special maintained action foot switch (seen in the first picture) comes with this retrofit to turn the lamp on while inspecting your part and turn it off when you walk away.
Each retrofit comes with detailed easy to follow installation instructions.  It will take your people about one hour to make the changeover.
DO NOT TOUCH LAMP WITH FINGERS AS THE SALT FROM THEM WILL BURN INTO THE QUARTZ ENVELOPE.   WASH LAMP WITH ALCOHOL IF TOUCHED.
