    Faded Russian carte de visite photograph of the legendary bel canto Italian tenor and creator of the role of Alvaro in the World Premiere of Verdi's opera "La Forza del Destino" in St. Petersburg in 1862.
    Slightly trimmed at the base for insertion into a carte album at the time and unfortunately faded, but he can still be seen clearly.
