This item is basically offered as a collector's item: though it is in new and unused condition, in an opened shelf-worn box.
It is of course perfectly usable for the purpose intended as opposed to mere display.
In order to protect the square and preserve it from rust, the old oil paper was removed and the item was hot-sealed in plastic.
Therefore it does not exhibit the rust blooms or discoloration seen on some old inventory of this type.
