The main advantage of this magnet is that the pulling strength is laboratory tested and verified (check the website for the official video). The same can not be said for other manufacturers. It also features a proprietary coating to prevent saltwater corrosion

it comes with threadlocker already applied.
AVP Fishing Magnet
The AVP Magnet needs no introduction. It can be used for a number of applications but is most frequently used for the rewarding sport of magnet fishing.  Simply throw this magnet into your favorite river, ocean, pond, or creek and be amazed by the treasure you find.
This magnet is also frequently used for environmental recovery efforts and evidence recovery. Most recently, one customer used our magnets to recover electric scooters and electric bicycles from local waterways.
The Specifications
The AVP Magnet is a neodymium earth magnet (N52 grade) and was manufactured by our sister company
Devil Magnetics
. It features a grip strength of 400 kilograms (881 pounds) which was verified by laboratory testing. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only manufacturer with lab-tested evidence of our magnet's strength.
The magnet measures approximately 5 inches in length and weighs almost two pounds.
The 64 foot nylon rope has a diameter of 0.2 inches and has a load rating well in excess of the magnet's 400 kilogram capabilities. The nylon has been treated with a proprietary compound to make it more resistant against abrasions and saltwater. The magnet also features a similar coating which prevents corrosion from saltwater.
All AVP Magnets are treated with a Loctite® thread-locking agent to prevent backing out of the primary nut. To the best of our knowledge, we are the only manufacturer using
Loctite® products to secure our threads.
