To the USSR before war there were developments on creation of fireproof fabric, for creation of a protective suit for tank crews. But only in 1943 forces of Military academy of chemical protection and institute of the industry of the USSR have created such fabric - TOZ. On the basis of this fabric the tank fireproof suit which has received the name TOZ-43 has also been developed. The suit was black color, dense and waterproof. It consisted of a jacket with a hood, a mask and trousers, a glove. Fire-resistant suits have been given to tankmen-ognemetchikam 500 OTB for rolling in combat conditions
