Ten vintage all original very rare and hard to find 1920's/1930's/1940's Golden Age Of Opera operatic music related photographs. The photos are from the estate of Dorothy Crowthers who was the Editor-In-Chief Of The Baton magazine of The Institute Of Musical Art Of The Juilliard School Of Music from 1922 to 1932. These 10 one-of-a-kind photos are from Dorothy Crowther's personal scrapbook. They measure about 4 3/4" by 3". Crowthers took these photographs herself and captioned each one - "Richard Rodgers, Composer Of South Pacific", Polish actor and singer "Jan Kiepura And His Wife Marta Eggerth", American Box Office Treasurer Of The Metropolitan Opera "Mr. And Mrs. Earle Lewis Aboard The U. S. S. California", star of vaudeville, film and theater" William Gaxton And His Wife, Madeline Aboard The Conte di Savoia", Belgian opera stage director and baritone "Desire DeFrere", American silent motion picture actress, producer and opera singer "Hope Hampton",  Italian opera conductor and Italian Director of the Metropolitan Opera, composer, conductor and pianist "(Giuseppe) Sturani And (Pietro Cimara) Cimarra", Canadian conductor "Wilfrid Pelletier", American stage actress, writer, theater owner and producer "Katharine Cornell Aboard The Rex" and Italian navigator "Captain Tarabotta Of The Rex". The 10 photos are still attached to scrapbook page remnants. They are in very good to excellent condition. I have more photos on auction now and will be listing many other photos from the estate some signed and some unsigned in the near future.
